Senior Software Engineer

At Edge Case Research you will develop tools to ensure the safety of such systems as autonomous vehicles, embedded systems, and other safety-critical applications. As a member of our development team, you will be contributing to our robustness testing tool suite as well as our system safety analysis tool. You will be a part of a small and fast-moving team and your work will have an instant impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, design, test, code and integrate software products.
  • Provides support to and works alongside other engineers to create innovative products.
  • Works closely with other engineers to provide guidance and assistance in the areas of software architecture, coding standards, and system related issues
  • Assist development lead and product manager with planning and scoping work for the team

Experience & Skills Needed:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or related field (Master degree preferred)
  • 5+ years experience designing, coding, and releases production-ready software
  • 2+ years experience with web development (Javascript, Node, web components)
  • 2+ years experience with cloud computing services such as AWS
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
  • Strong multi-tasking skills
  • Enjoy working in a creative environment
  • Excellent communication skills

Cloud Architect

An excellent candidate would bring experience and guidance in deploying applications at scale and be able to hit the ground running to improve the efficiency of existing deployments and plan new deployments.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with design, implementation, and deployment of cloud SOA software
  • Provide a voice of experience on the product development team
  • Take ownership of cloud deployments
  • Work closely with leadership and customers to provide the best product experience possible

Experience:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Science or related field
  • 2+ years experience with cloud computing technology and infrastructure
  • Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
  • 2+ years experience with AWS or equivalent cloud computing service
  • Experience deploying large production cloud computing products
